Testing & Performance
In-house testing to verify turbidity reduction (NTU), pressure behaviour, and service-life performance.
All testing is conducted at Tradingwise facilities using controlled conditions and continuous data logging.
Why We Test
At Tradingwise, we conduct controlled, in-depth testing to validate performance claims, understand potential failure modes, and continuously optimize our system designs. Our comprehensive testing protocols go beyond theoretical predictions, measuring how filters behave under sustained sediment loading throughout their full operational run, from initial start-up to defined end-of-life criteria. This commitment ensures we provide objective, repeatable data, enabling informed system specification and transparent performance insights for our customers.
What We Measure
01
Influent and Effluent Turbidity (NTU)
We continuously measure turbidity, expressed in Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTU), at both the inlet (influent) and outlet (effluent). This quantifies the filter's suspended solids removal efficiency and detects any breakthrough, indicating when solids begin to pass through.
02
Pressure Differential
Monitoring the pressure difference across the filter is crucial for understanding how the filter accumulates particulate matter. A rising differential pressure indicates increasing filter loading and helps predict when cleaning or replacement is needed to maintain optimal flow and performance.
03
Volume Processed to End-of-Life
This metric quantifies the total volume of fluid processed by the filter before it reaches a predefined end-of-life condition, such as excessive pressure differential or a specific effluent quality threshold. It directly measures the filter's service life, enabling accurate planning for operational cycles and replacement schedules.
04
Flow Rate Stability
We verify that the desired flow rate is consistently maintained throughout the test, even as pressure differential changes due to filter loading. Stable flow rates ensure consistent system output and reliability, crucial for applications requiring an uninterrupted supply.
05
Test Duration and Performance Trends
Each test runs continuously over an extended period, simulating real-world operational conditions. This allows for time-series analysis of all measured parameters, identifying performance degradation over time, stability periods, and the filter's overall longevity under sustained loading.
These measurements are logged continuously throughout each test run and compiled into comprehensive performance reports. Data is presented with full test condition documentation to enable proper interpretation and application to real-world scenarios.
TW91 Results Summary
3500
Litres Processed
Volume before end-of-life criteria under controlled conditions
72
Test Duration (Hours)
Continuous operation simulating real-world use
45
Inlet Turbidity (NTU)
Consistent turbidity challenge at filter inlet
<5
Effluent Turbidity (NTU)
Maintained at outlet during stable performance period
20
Flow Rate (L/min)
Constant flow rate maintained throughout the test
Testing indicates the TW91 filter effectively reduces turbidity and processes a notable fluid volume under defined conditions. Performance includes a stable period with consistent low effluent turbidity, followed by a transition in performance as the filter approaches capacity.
These results were obtained from controlled in-house testing with specific sediment composition, flow rate, and operating parameters. Field performance will vary based on actual water conditions, duty cycle, and application-specific factors.

Important: All performance data is specific to the test conditions documented in the full report. Results should be interpreted with appropriate consideration of application variability including water chemistry, sediment characteristics, flow patterns, and operational parameters.
